Scylos
Company

We removed the endpoint from the trust boundary.

Scylos comes from the team behind Windy City Wire, applying a hard-won infrastructure instinct to the endpoint. We remove the operating system as a source of risk and cost, and make a thousand devices as simple to manage as one.

Why we exist

Zero Trust ended at the endpoint. We fixed that.

Every other layer of the modern stack already assumes compromise. The endpoint never did. It still runs a persistent operating system that has to be patched, watched, and cleaned up forever, a long-lived trust object inside a model that is supposed to have none. The industry answered that contradiction with more agents, more patching, and more tooling, hardening the persistent device instead of asking whether it should persist at all. Scylos took the other path: remove the persistent OS from the trust boundary, and put the entire fleet under one control plane.

What we built

A new category: the Zero-Trust-OS.

Scylos introduces the ZeroTrustOS, a stateless operating layer for endpoints. ZeroCore boots clean every session, runs only authorized work, and resets to nothing. Switchboard, the control plane that lives in your own cloud tenant, governs every device, policy, and persona from a single console. Nothing persists on the device, and everything is governed from one place. That is the whole idea, stated plainly.

What makes us different

Architecture first, detection never.

We remove, we don't monitor

Instead of watching for compromise, we remove the conditions an attacker depends on. There is no resident OS or local profile to take up residence in.

Stateless, not hardened

A hardened, immutable, or read-only OS still retains users, logs, config, and state. The ZeroTrustOS retains nothing. That distinction is the entire point.

One console, the whole fleet

Switchboard is the harder half we built. Provision, lock down, repurpose, or retire thousands of endpoints from one place, in your own tenant.

Reuse what you own

Flash the substrate onto hardware you already have, including machines stranded by Windows 11 requirements. It is reversible, so we never rip and replace.

Why now

The timing is not an accident.

Per endpoint, per month, all-in
$7
Industry fully-loaded endpoint cost
$60–75

Windows 10 end-of-support is stranding hundreds of millions of corporate machines that cannot meet Windows 11 requirements. Every organization now needs a post-Windows 10 endpoint strategy, and buying all new hardware is not one. The security model is the reason; the math is the bonus.

Where we come from

Same founder, same instinct, bigger problem.

The instinct that built Windy City Wire, make the hard thing simple and reliable at scale, now points at the endpoint. The founding team is advised by recognized security leaders, including Dr. Chase Cunningham and Kevin Goodman, and the architecture has already proven itself in production, with stateless endpoints that kept running through the 2024 global outage when millions of machines went down. We tell our proof through the architecture, not through logos.

See it on your hardware

See the stateless endpoint on your own hardware.

Flash an idle machine into a live endpoint and run your real workloads. You buy no hardware and sign nothing.
